Tony Petrello and his wife, Cynthia, are hopeful their contributions to the Texas Children’s Hospital of $7 million will help fund the research being done for children’s neurological diseases. Their daughter, Carena, was born prematurely and developed the neurological condition, periventricular leukomalacia (PVL).
Carena is now eight and has been diagnosed with cerebral palsy. The Petrello’s have tried to find answers to the cure or treatment of their daughters condition, but have found it to be difficult for the lack of research being done. Anthony Petrello currently works with the hospital as Director and finds hope in his daughter, Carena, every day.
