InnovaCare is Now Part of the HHS Initiative that aims to Reform Payment Models

InnovaCare Heath officials recently announced that they had become part of the Health Care Payment Learning and Action Network (LAN). The network is a public-private initiative that aims to move payments towards quality rather than quantity. InnovaCare’s move indicates that the company is committed to the shift towards alternative models of payment.

The company issued a statement indicating that it supported the goal of LAN of ensuring that 30 percent of all payments in US health care were shifted towards alternative models of payment by 2016. By participating in the LAN data collection network, InnovaCare has shown that it is committed to the measurement of progress towards these goals. HHS launched the LAN in 2015. It aims to bring about an alignment in public and private sectors of the US health care system. Its aim is to move providers towards quality rather than quantity. Thus far, nearly 100 leading organizations in the public, private, and non-profit sectors are participants in the network.

According to the company’s Chief Administrative Officer, Penelope Kokkinides, working together with other partners that have committed to LAN will help the company achieve a noticeable difference in the healthcare sector. She said that she was proud that her company had joined the network, which is the kind of collaboration that is needed in the health sector.
