Alexandre Gama- Entrepreneur and Founder of Neogama

Alexandre Gama is a Brazilian businessman and an innovative professional in advertising and communications production. He is the chief communications officer, chief executive officer and the founder of Neogama, one of the leading Brazilian advertising agencies. Gama served as the global chief creative officer of BBH, agency network based in London, being the first leader of global agency network from Brazil. He is also Brazilian’s only member of the Global Creative Board,an international agency made up of six innovative leaders.

Career Development

Gama holds an Advertising and Communications degree from Armando Alvares Penteado Foundation. Gama began his advertising job copywriting at a company called Standard Ogilvy & Mather in 1982. He served at DM9 for 4 years as the creative director and copywriter. Gama has also served as the creative executive director and a shareholder at Almap BBDO agency and as a Global Board member, CCO and as the CEO for Young & Rubicam agency.

Establishment of Neogama

In 1999, Gama left Young & Rubicam to establish Neogama, an advertising agency. Neogama became the fastest developing and only adverting agency in Brazil to win Golden Lions in Press and Film in the same year in Cannes, France. In 2002, Neogama partnered with BBH where Gama was the major shareholder. Neogama/BBH received Caboré award, the youngest agency ever rewarded. He has served overseas for D&AD, British International Film Jury as the Foreman. In 2008, in France, at the Cannes Festival, Gama presented a Master Class, becoming the first Latin American to do so. He was in charge of promoting and supporting Brazilian communications industry with finest practices in 2008, as a Brazilian Association of Advertising Agencies board member.

Other Interests

Along with communications and advertising undertakings, Gama also takes part in the music industry. He initiated and launched instrumental music project for acoustic guitar in Brazil, the VIOLAB. It comprises of a recording studio, radio program, a recording label and a You Tube channel, which support Brazilian musicians and player best at acoustic guitar.
